I've had the pleasure of interviewing literally hundreds of successful songwriters, at the weekly Songwriters Showcase, for the monthly LASS Musepaper, for United Airlines Inflight Entertainment's Salute to Songwriters audio channel, and on the weekly radio show, For the Record, that Samm Brown and I host on KPFK (90.7FM) in L.A. Interviewing my favorite songwriters has always been a joy for me and a tremendous learning experience. I'll be bringing you new (and some old) interviews on a regular basis. Thom Bell
Dan Kimpel's first interview, with one of his heroes. Thom Bell, was one of the writer/producers who put Philadelphia on the musical map in the late '60s and early '70s, and won the first Producer of the Year Grammy.
